Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons
The RCVS has two key functions in relation to veterinary nursing. These are the maintenance of the statutory list of veterinary nurses and the award of veterinary nursing S and NVQs.

BVNA membership is open to anyone with an interest in veterinary nursing, from qualified VNs to students, support staff and supporters.

British Small Animal Veterinary Association
The British Small Animal Veterinary Association exists to promote high scientific and educational standards of small animal medicine and surgery in practice, teaching and research.

The Veterinary Record
The Veterinary Record is the British Veterinary Association's official journal and has been published weekly since 1888. It contains news, comment, letters and clinical research papers on a wide range of veterinary topics. Its classified advertisement section includes an extensive list of veterinary and veterinary-related jobs.

Feline Advisory Bureau
The Feline Advisory Bureau is a charity dedicated to promoting the health and welfare of cats through improved feline knowledge, to help us all care better for our cats

Hearing Dogs for the Deaf
Hearing Dogs for Deaf People was launched at the world famous Crufts Dog Show in 1982. Since then we have continued to train dogs to alert deaf people to specific sounds, whether in the home, workplace or public buildings.
To date we have placed nearly 1,300 hearing dogs throughout England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland and the Channel Islands.

National Equine Welfare Council
The National Equine Welfare Council (NEWC) has an important, proactive role in raising equine welfare standards nationwide. Its membership base of over 60 welfare organisations, includes equine welfare charities large and small throughout the United Kingdom as well as a multitude of organisations from the equestrian and veterinary sectors of the horse industry.

The Oldies Club
The Oldies Club helps older dogs find 'forever' homes. Homes and volunteers are needed across the UK.

pdsa is the UK's leading veterinary charity, caring for the pets of people in need. We provide free veterinary treatment to more than 4,650 sick and injured animals every working day and we promote responsible pet ownership.

Rabbit Welfare Association
The Rabbit Welfare Association aims to improve the quality of life of pet rabbits in the UK. Rain Rescue
RESCUE DOGS AND CATS 4 HAPPY ADOPTIONS. RAIN RESCUE works together with other rescue centres around the country with dogs and cats for adoption. All saved from being DESTROYED, as so many are killed each day in Britain simply because people are BREEDING TOO MANY DOGS.

Retired Greyhound Trust
For more than 30 years our nationwide army of volunteers have been finding loving homes for greyhounds (nearly 35,000 so far!). We rescue needy greyhounds and take care of them until appropriate homes can be found. We are the only National Charity which concentrates all its efforts on improving the lot of ex-racing greyhounds.

RSPCA

Staffycross Welfare Trust
Dedicated to drawing public awareness to the plight of Staffy Crosses in rescues and pounds in the UK, encouraging owners to neuter their dogs to prevent unwanted pets from being put to sleep.

The Blue Cross
Blue Cross UK. Animal welfare charity, with animal hospitals and animal adoption services. We also offer support for pet bereavement, and host online pet memorials
